Inventory Specialist I (Cycle Count)

Primary Responsibilities

The Inventory Specialist I is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory needs and status to Operations management.

Primary Duties:

1. Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs.
2. Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and locations daily.
3. Assists in developing solutions to shortages, overages, and inventory discrepancies.
4. Compiles verifies and reports periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in customer escalations as related to inventory.
5. Assists in compiling data related to special projects, as requested by supervisor.
6. Ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures and contractual obligations.
7. Other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience or training
• Experience operating a standup forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Essential Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.

Physical Demands

• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive motion.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
• Frequent lifting up to 50lbs team lifts over 50lbs.
• Able to work in various temperature conditions.

• No more than 6 attendance points
• Efficiency and Quality goals met for the previous 3 months.
