Salesforce Sales Cloud Functional Analyst

  2026-05-14     Current Lighting     Greenville,SC
Description:

Product Owner | Change Champion | User Advocate

If you light up in a room full of sales reps more than a room full of developers, then keep reading.

We need a Salesforce Sales Cloud expert who leads transformation from the front. You know the platform deeply, but your real superpower is people. You'll own the product backlog, author user stories, champion adoption, and bridge the gap between what the business needs and what the technical team builds. Expect roughly 80% of your time with users and stakeholders, and 20% hands-on in the system validating and testing.

If your first instinct is to open Salesforce and start building flows, this role isn't for you. If your first instinct is to grab a whiteboard and map the process with your business partners, we are looking for you.

What You'll Own

Drive Adoption & Lead Change

  • Design and execute adoption strategies; champion networks, role-based training, communication campaigns, and feedback loops that keep users engaged long after go-live
  • Facilitate discovery workshops and requirements sessions that uncover what users truly need, not just what they ask for
  • Track adoption metrics and platform utilization; bring data to leadership and course-correct in real time
  • Serve as a visible change agent; address resistance, celebrate wins, and model what a great Salesforce experience looks like every day
  • Own the Product & Shape the Roadmap
  • Own the Sales Cloud and Distributer Portal product backlog end-to-end; prioritize stories based on business value, user impact, and strategic initiatives
  • Write crisp user stories with detailed acceptance criteria that give developers an unambiguous path from requirement to delivery
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews; present demos to stakeholders and validate before declaring anything done

Translate Needs into Buildable Requirements

  • Lead business process mapping sessions and produce requirements detailed enough for a developer to begin work immediately
  • Perform unit testing in Salesforce to catch issues before UAT; lead UAT cycles; write scripts, coordinate participants, and drive defect resolution
  • Evaluate new Salesforce release features and advocate for adoption of what genuinely serves your users

What You Bring

Required

  • 5+ years in a business-facing Salesforce role; functional analyst, product owner, or business analyst focused on Sales Cloud
  • Deep functional knowledge of Sales Cloud (pipeline, opportunities, forecasting, reporting); you know what it can do without having built it yourself
  • Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing a product backlog in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Real track record driving Salesforce adoption; training, champion programs, stakeholder engagement, and measurable results
  • Outstanding facilitation and communication skills; you run workshops, lead UAT with 15 users, and brief executives in the same week
  • Ability to influence without authority; you earn trust, navigate resistance, and move people toward change confidently
  • Familiarity with CPQ processes in a manufacturing or distribution environment (quoting workflows, pricing rules, approvals)

Preferred

  • Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant or Admin certification (great-to-have; demonstrated impact outweighs certs here)
  • Change management framework experience
  • Manufacturing OTC flow experience; order management, ASN, warranty, rebate processes
  • Agile backlog tools (Jira, Azure DevOps) and e-signature/document tools (DocuSign, PandaDocs)
  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years Salesforce Sales Cloud in a business-facing capacity
