Description:

Strategic Support Solutions is seeking two highly skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Painters to join our team in Greenville, SC. This is a specialized role for a true craftsman with proven corporate aviation experience who excels at performing flawless paint blends, touch-ups,and final detailing on high-value aircraft.

Your Mission:

As a Detail & Blend Specialist, you will be responsible for the final, critical steps of the aircraft painting process. Your primary duties will include:

  • Expert Paint Blending: Perform seamless paint touch-ups and blends on finished aircraft surfaces, ensuring a perfect color match and an undetectable repair.
  • Surface Preparation: Meticulously prepare surfaces for paint application, including cleaning, sanding, and masking with precision.
  • Detail Painting: Apply paint to small sections, components, and detail areas according to technical specifications and to the highest quality standards.
  • Final Finish: Perform final detailing, buffing, and polishing to achieve a flawless, high-gloss finish.
  • Quality Control: Inspect your own work and the work of others to ensure it meets all aesthetic and technical requirements.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols for handling paints and chemicals, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What You Bring to the Table:

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience painting corporate aircraft is required.
  • Demonstrated, high-level skill in paint blending and color matching is essential for this role.
  • A strong understanding of paint application techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform detailed and precise work with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a Part 145 repair station environment.
  • Formal training or certification in aircraft painting or refinishing.
  • Experience with a variety of aircraft paint systems (e.g., Sherwin-Williams, AkzoNobel).
Pay & Benefits:

This position is governed by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and includes a full suite of benefits.
  • Total Hourly Rate: $25.57
    • Base Wage: $20.64 per hour.
    • Health & Welfare (H&W): An additional $4.93 per hour, paid on top of your base wage, which can be used for benefits.
