Job Description:

Design Liaison Engineer - Finite Element Analysis & Lifting

• Use ANSYS Classic to model and run mechanical lifting analysis for various defects in Gas Turbine rotating blades.
• Use NX to manipulate models and modify geometry
• Post-Process, document, and present analysis results to technical team
• Use various other lifting tools and templates to complete engineering evaluations
• Understand and follow mechanical design practices and templates

Ideal Qualifications:

• Gas Turbine engineering experience (specifically Hot Section components)
• Manufacturing experience
• Well versed in lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control
• Background on HGP components, especially rotating turbine blades
• Ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations
• Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes
• Customer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation
• Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
