Job Title: AWS/Java Developer (8-10 Years Experience)

Location: Raleigh, NC (Local candidates needed)
Duration: 12+Months (Long term project)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced AWS/Java Developer with 8-10 years of software development experience. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to modernize legacy systems and build scalable, cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose modernization strategies
• Design, develop, and test Java-based, cloud-native applications
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data processing systems
• Analyze data models and business requirements
• Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Develop, create, and execute test cases
• Conduct back-end testing for data processing and business logic
• Work closely with developers and business analysts for requirement clarity and coverage
• Utilize AWS services within application architecture
• Develop, test, debug, and deliver solutions within timelines
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to security best practices
• Monitor and optimize application performance, cost, and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-10 years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, and backend development
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate
• Experience in modernizing legacy applications and migrating to cloud environments
• Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-based architectures
• Experience working with RDBMS / transactional databases
• Strong SQL skills: writing complex queries, debugging, and performance tuning
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and cloud-based data platforms
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI or AWS QuickSight
• Exposure to enterprise-level data lake architectures
