Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist registered in both CT and X-Ray for a night shift weekend contract at a primary stroke center hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting covering CT and X-Ray for the ED and inpatients
• Primary stroke center
• Two techs are staffed per shift, covering both X-Ray and CT
• Some patient transport involved between departments and the ED
• Radiologists are staffed off-site and available for questions via secure paging (Perfect Serve)
• Uses Epic Radiant for radiology
• 2x12-hour night shifts, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Potential to pick up additional hours during the week

Requirements

• ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required — must be registered in both CT and X-Ray
• Current BLS required
• SC Radiology license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of CT and X-Ray experience
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Experience with adult acute care setting required; adult outpatient experience preferred
• Experience with GE and/or Siemens CT equipment preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of CT studies including abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast, chest (including PE and CTA), vascular, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and trauma imaging
• Cardiac CT studies such as calcium scoring and coronary angiography are preferred skills
• Brain perfusion imaging experience is preferred
• Colorectal studies with rectal contrast and enterography experience preferred
• Skills in starting peripheral IVs, preparation and administration of contrast media, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE are valued
• Floating to other units or campuses within the health system may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units where competencies have been demonstrated
• Pre-assignment modules must be completed prior to the start date
• Hunter green scrubs required
• First-time travelers will be considered depending on years of experience
• CT and MRI Techs must live at least 50 miles from the relevant Prisma flagship hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville) to be eligible for this position
