Client has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer with a focus on our cloud service project to join our Cyber Security team. We are seeking a candidate with excellent technical and communication skills, both verbal and written. The candidate should have a strong background in system administration and security, with recent experience in AWS. The candidate must have the ability to think and solve problems independently within a changing environment while working closely with project and enterprise IT teams.

An Employee in this role will:
• Provide day to day and project related security support for system maintenance and integration of security technology infrastructure and processes in the cloud.
• Deploy security controls as code in support of projects and day to day operations.
• Monitor internal control systems to ensure that appropriate information access levels and security clearances are maintained.
• Interface with peers, other IT teams, leadership, and end users to develop innovative solutions to complex problems and improve controls to mature the security organization.
• Design, implement, and update technical control requirement models and methodologies to support security policy and standards.
• Perform security gap analysis, provide recommendations to resolve gaps and guide the development of business cases to identify and evaluate new products.
• Optimize current product implementations. Support and develop roadmaps for current and future platforms.
• Contribute to complex system analysis to improve internal team processes and procedures to mature the security organization.
• Develop, implement, and support standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to security domains.

Basic Qualifications: (required)
• 5 or more years of experience in an enterprise IT Security Engineering role with the following disciplines:
o IT Security systems life cycle and support
o Managing multiple priorities and working across multiple teams
o Security software administration
o Security focused reporting and metric generation
o Underlying security theories, principles, designs, standards, and industry best practices
• 3 or more years of experience in an enterprise IT engineering role with the following platforms:
o AWS
o Terraform

Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Preferred information security domain certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or Security+ Certified Professional.
• Experience deploying security configurations as code in Azure or AWS.
• 1+ years of experience in an enterprise IT Security engineering role with the following platforms:
• Azure
• HashiCorp Sentinel
• Palo Alto Prisma Cloud
• In depth knowledge in cloud IT architecture, design, and implementation of security technologies and controls.
