Description:

Our Client is seeking a full-time Applications Integration (Deployment) Engineer to join their team onsite in Waltham, MA, with travel required for field deployments. Our Client develops advanced robotic and automotive automation systems, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software technologies to deliver real-world solutions across a variety of vehicle platforms.

This role is ideal for a highly hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of prototyping, system integration, and field deployment. Our Client is looking for someone with deep technical experience in mechatronics and system configuration who can take initiative, solve complex problems cross-functionally, and help scale cutting-edge automation technology while mentoring others along the way.
Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience configuring electro-mechanical systems in real-world environments
  • Strong expertise in electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and root cause troubleshooting
  • Experience using CAD tools such as Onshape or SolidWorks for design and documentation
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line utilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving mindset
  • Hands-on experience with automotive tire changes and wheel balancing
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering Technology, IT, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, automation, or hardware startup environments
  • Veteran or prior military service experience
  • Experience creating test scripts, documenting procedures, and training team members
  • Familiarity with motion systems, sensors, and robotic subsystems
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
  • System configuration management and performance validation
  • Robotic system assembly, integration, and deployment
  • Cross-functional engineering collaboration (mechanical, electrical, software)
Daily Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize vehicle configuration libraries across platforms
  • Improve system performance through testing, version control, and scalable updates
  • Troubleshoot robotic subsystems and document solutions
  • Design and build tools, fixtures, and prototype hardware
  • Lead assembly of robotic systems, including wiring, harnessing, and enclosures
  • Support deployments, commissioning, and customer go-live activities
  • Perform field diagnostics and drive continuous system improvements
  • Identify failure points, spare parts, and system inefficiencies
  • Assist with demos, pilot programs, and customer-facing deployments
  • Train and mentor technicians on procedures and safety standards
