Job Title: Lead Engineer, Deltek Functional
This position delivers value by primarily working as the Deltek CP/TES Functional resource, role will play a critical role in delivering client service and the value proposition of the KPMG Deltek platform including resolving issues in production as well as implementing new capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to optimize the use of Deltek CostPoint
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues within the Deltek ERP ecosystem
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and KPMG engagement requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and enhance system capabilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement system improvements; support the configuration and testing of updates, patches, and new features
- Serve as the bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring alignment of system functionality with business goals
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower end-users
- Ensure system usage aligns with internal controls, governance standards, and federal regulations; maintain awareness of updates to accounting standards and implement changes as necessary
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum seven years of recent experience working with Deltek CostPoint ERP in a functional role
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in professional services organizations, and prior experience supporting federal engagements is highly desirable
- Ability to manage relationships with counterparts in system of record or system in action applications including functional owners or work streams
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including federal compliance
- Familiarity with Deltek modules such as CostPoint, Time & Expense, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, balancing technical and business needs
