Position Overview
The Client is seeking an experienced Internet / Web Engineer - Advanced to support ongoing enhancements and federally mandated changes to the Client Medicaid EDI system. This role focuses on developing, modifying, testing, and supporting EDI healthcare transactions while working closely with internal teams, external providers, and trading partners.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Translator Team to design and implement enhancements to existing EDI healthcare transactions.
• Develop, modify, debug, and unit test EDI transaction code using technical and design specifications.
• Perform integration testing and support Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and External Testing.
• Work with business stakeholders to implement state and federally mandated Medicaid changes.
• Support testing activities involving external healthcare providers and trading partners.
• Provide clear written and verbal communication across technical and business teams.
• Work collaboratively with Clemson staff and other contracted resources in a fast-paced Medicaid environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Actian DataConnect
• 5+ years of experience with Axiom TransSend
• 3+ years of experience with Pervasive Designer data mapping
• 3+ years of experience with Visual Basic
• 5+ years of experience working with the South Carolina Medicaid (SoSC) program

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java
• Experience with JavaScript

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Equivalent years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
