The Perioperative Attendant is responsible for assisting the clinical staff by performing a variety of support functions that facilitate the delivery of surgical/procedural services to the patient working under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization. Essential Functions: Performs daily set-up of the surgical suites and room turnover between cases, maintaining a clean and orderly work area throughout the OR. May terminally clean OR suites based upon department design. Assists with patient positioning, lifting and transfers. Performs sterile holds as needed. Restocks and maintains an adequate amount of supplies and linens needed for surgery and/or anesthesia daily use. May maintain oxygen tanks based upon department design.
