Job Title: Medical Oncology Locum Coverage

Self-Query NPDB report mandatory at the time of presentation, dated within 30 days

Description:
Looking for locum coverage in Medical Oncology.
The practice setting is a free-standing cancer center.
Coverage is needed due to the loss of a provider.
There will be no call during the locum period.
If placed permanently, call is expected on a schedule of one week every 6 to 8 weeks.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
The practice consists of 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology.
There are 7 physicians in the practice and 6 advanced practice providers.
The average number of outpatient patients per day is 25.
The average number of inpatient patients per day is 20.
Clinical areas include outpatient and inpatient oncology.
Participation on a Tumor Board is required.
Responsibilities include management of bone marrow transplants, blood bank, ordering tests and images, and prescribing chemotherapy.
Administration of chemotherapy will be performed with the support of a nurse oncologist.
Credentialing is estimated to take 60 days.
Facility reimbursement includes flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage billed at the IRS standard rate.
