JOB SUMMARY
The Receiving & Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying and organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that materials and products areproperly received, stored, and tracked. Candidates should be detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A collaborative, team-oriented mindset is essential.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
Accurately record received items in the Warehouse Management System and place inventory in assigned area in warehouse.
Label and organize inventory in designated storage areas.
Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Assist in inventory transfers, stock adjustments, and returns as needed.
Ensure safe and compliant handling of materials per OSHA and company guidelines.
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as trained.
Maintain a clean and organized receiving and inventory area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
2 year college degree.
Prior experience in warehouse receiving and/or inventory control preferred.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and barcode scanning technology. NetSuite experience required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly; up to 70 pounds (with assistance) as needed.
Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
