The hourly range listed is an estimate. Compensation at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors, including geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills, and evaluations of internal pay equity.
Work schedule for this role is: 8:00am - 4:30pm (or until the work is complete), Monday - Friday. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health:
Operations are crucial for materials handling and product distribution. This includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, as well as demand and supply planning.
Responsibilities:
Receive and unload trucks in the Inbound section using a pallet jack or similar devices to transfer pallets.
Utilize the Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products, ensuring proper storage of refrigerated specialty items.
Store products using order pickers or other devices in designated warehouse locations.
Pick products from warehouse locations and prepare them for outbound shipping.
Qualifications:
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Able to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
Comfortability working at heights of 20-30 feet regularly.
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Previous experience with material handling equipment (PIT) is preferred.
Experience with radio frequency (RF) scanners and/or voice picking highly preferred.
Must be available for overtime with little to no advance notice.
Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting established performance standards.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate through various areas of the warehouse.
Adherence to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as steel-toe safety shoes and safety harnesses for material handling equipment.
