EH&S Field Manager

Location: Greenville, SC

Salary: $80-100K+, depending on experience

Work: Full-time with frequent (non-overnight) travel around the upstate

SUMMARY

The successful candidate for this position will have a positive, professional demeanor, excellent

interpersonal skills and will be able to work independently. The nature of the work will require that the candidate demonstrates initiative and responsibility and be flexible/adaptive to a fast-paced and fluid business environment. The Program Manager drives enterprise-wide EH&S strategy with emphasis on claims optimization, digital safety transformation, DOT/FMCSA compliance, and advanced analytics.

This role leads multi-year initiatives, manages governance frameworks, and ensures regulatory

compliance across all divisions. Provides executive-level reporting, stakeholder engagement, and change management to achieve measurable improvements in safety culture and risk reduction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership

  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Develop EH&S dashboards, KPIs, and predictive analytics for risk reduction.
  • OSHA Recordkeeping: Ensure compliance with 29 CFR Part 1904; oversee electronic submissions.
  • Claims Management: Manage workers' compensation and liability claims; optimize return-to work programs.
  • DOT/FMCSA Compliance: Oversee enterprise compliance; manage CSA score improvement plans; ensure driver qualification and biennial updates.
  • Safety Management System Digitization: Transition manual processes to cloud-based platforms; integrate mobile reporting tools.
  • Safety Manual &SOP Development:
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive EH&S Safety Manual aligned with OSHA,

DOT, EPA, and ISO standards. o

  • Develop, standardize, and update EH&SSOPs for critical processes (incident reporting, hazard assessments, audits, emergency response).
  • Ensure SOPs are accessible, version-controlled, and integrated into digital platforms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and ISO standards; lead audits and inspections.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for EH&S compliance and analytics.
  • Support Divisional EH&S professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR and operations teams to embed safety into organizational culture.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communications
  • Assists Safety Managers with driving accountability for EH&S initiatives across all business units.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's in EH&S, Engineering, or Business preferred; or comparable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two years EH&S leadership experience with enterprise program management ownership
  • Certifications: CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, AIC, ARM, CRM, or CRIS certification preferred
