We have an outstanding Contract position for aMaterial Handler to join a leading Company located in the Greenville, SC surrounding area.Job Responsibilities:+ Loads, unloads, collects, and properly conveys Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste containers (Drums, ICB Totes, Bins, Buckets) materials from the production and hangar areas to the site's waste consolidation location.+ Collects Scrap metals, Wood/Pallet/Plastic recyclables materials around the facility to the recycling collection areas.+ Performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving consolidation of waste materials.+ Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information.+ Loads and unloads materials (waste/recyclables/scrap) onto or from pallets and waste compactors machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand.+ Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, pallet jack, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of hoists or other lifting devices.+ Uses a forklift, delivery truck with lift gate to load 55-gallon drums, waste and recyclable materials.Basic Hiring Criteria:+ High School diploma or equivalent.+ Handling Hazardous Materials and Wastes, RCRA experience.+ Currently hold or has held forklift certificate.+ Able to be standing 8 hours/day, manual labor in a medium to heavy work environment.+ Safety shoes required.Military connected talent encouraged to apply.VEVRAA Federal Contractor / Request Priority Protected Veteran Referrals / Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:+ The California Fair Chance Act+ Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance+ Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers+ San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
