What You Will Do:

We are seeking an experienced Balance of Plant (BOP) Controls Engineer responsible for the design, maintenance, modification, and performance optimization of control systems supporting plant systems in a nuclear power facility. This role ensures reliable operation of turbine-generator, feedwater, cooling water, condensate, and auxiliary systems in compliance with regulatory and plant requirements.

The position requires strong technical discipline, configuration control adherence, and collaboration with operations, design, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of the assigned manufacturing processes to support maintenance and operations troubleshooting
  • MkVIe troubleshooting, maintenance, and code improvements to support business needs
  • PLC troubleshooting, maintenance, and code improvements to support business needs
  • Management of PLC software licenses and associated software configuration management
  • Management of Process historian hardware, software, and tags
  • Creation, modification, support of industrial controls including hardware specification and loop sheet and electrical schematic creation and maintenance
  • Provide operational oversight and training support for operators and maintenance of control systems
  • Support 24/7 manufacturing operation, including emergency response, and scheduled projects
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Additional Desired Characteristics:

  • Design, configure, and maintain PLC and/or DCS-based control systems
  • Develop and tune PID control loops for turbine and feedwater systems
  • Support turbine control, condensate systems, circulating water, service water, and auxiliary systems
  • Maintain alarm setpoints and HMI configurations

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of industrial control systems experience
  • Experience with PLC or DCS platforms

Work Requirements:

This role is preferred to be an onsite position in Greenville, SC. However, remote work can be considered at time of interview.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Pay Range:

$85000/yr - $105000/yr

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Citizenship Requirement:

Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required

Travel:

Work travel is about 30%
