Job description: *Essential Duties*
* Develop manufacturing process(es) for new products
* Spec and procure all manufacturing equipment and tooling
* Create process routings and manufacturing process metrics
* Develop Process FMEA
* Performs manufacturing cost analysis
* Assists in make or buy cost analysis for component parts
* Improves process/ Reduce manufacturing costs by use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools
* Resolves technical issues with respect to process performance (TPM, OEE)
* Assists in product transfer from development to production
* Develops/Implements training methods for manufacturing and maintenance
* Develop preventive maintenance procedures and metrics
Ergonomic Focus
* Working at desks and production floor work stations
* Readingreports.
* Verbal and written communication including use of telephone and computer
* Standing/walking/sitting during 8 hour work day
* Lifting up to 20 lbs frequently
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
* Prefer Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Computer skills, MS Office and CAD software (AutoCAD, ProEngineer, SolidWorks)
* Experience developing tooling and equipment specifications
* Experience with tooling and equipment vendors (quotations, contracts, and delivery/installation, project management)
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma tools or other problem solving tools
* Experience developing/monitoring/improving complete manufacturing processes
* Experience with TS16949 requirements
* Proven track record of on schedule/under budget project management
