Advanced Ceramic Coatings, LLC. (ACC) is a joint venture between GE Aerospace and Lincotek Surface Solutions. ACC is a leader in the ready-to-engine airfoil applications market, namely thermal coatings for aviation components.
Position Summary
The Controller position is responsible for providing financial controls for the company by working with the Managing Director (MD) and Leadership Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies and driving performance and profitability across all levels of the organization. Will provide regular reports and analysis to MD, Lincotek, and GE.
Essential Functions
The responsibilities of the Controller include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial reporting & analysis, accounting (cost, AP, AR, cash flow, etc.), internal controls & audits, risk management, banking relationships, tax incentives & compliance, sales and use tax, insurances, etc.
2. Preparation, oversight, and/or presentation of Quarterly Board Meeting content per JV Agreement.
3. Manage and provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends and variances. Works closely with management team to understand and develop solutions for items which are off budget.
4. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
5. Full cycle Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
5.1. Three-way matching, G/L account coding of invoices and expense reports, data entry and filing, wire transfer preparation.
5.2. Full cycle Accounts Receivable. Issue invoices to customers, working with customer service and shipping to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Apply customer payments in the accounting system.
6. Works closely with the Accountant to complete month and year end close with intercompany reconciliations within 5 business days of close.
7. Oversees Fixed Asset / CAPEX process including tracking and monthly status meetings, proper accounting transactions in SAP, and impact on cash & taxes.
8. Integral in strategic and tactical planning for the organization. Lead and/or provide support for various Hoshin or ad hoc projects using the A-3 process.
9. Lead the annual operating plan and five year business plan process with Managing Director and Lincotek. Leads financial re-forecasting as needed.
10. Develop and maintain the SAP cost standards for labor, machine, and OH rates annually.
11. Develops and/or improves, implements, and enforces cost accounting policies and procedures of the organization to ensure compliance to FAR-15, FAR-12, Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, and other customer required standards. All documents to be part of the company's Integrated Management System. Examples include credit card policies, project and product costing, SAP standards, GAAP, etc.
12. Administers company checking and savings account, electronic along with check runs and wire approvals
13. Acts as company's credit card and banking administrator.
14. Manages 401K/Payroll GL reporting including the appropriate posting of payroll costs for financial reporting.
15. Audits and maintains the appropriate insurance coverage for the company (umbrella, property, liability, vehicle, and aerospace).
16. Serve as lead and provide support for year-end financial audit by third party audit firm.
17. Ensure timely compliance with the local, state, and federal government's reporting requirements.
18. Develops and/or recommends improvements to policies and procedures of the organization for compliance to standard(s). Works in the company's Integrated Management System context, in accordance with its procedures and requirements.

Work Environment
This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, on-site position Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, additional hours as required.
Travel
Occasional overseas and domestic travel are required to support the rapid growth of the company. Availability of 1-2 trips to Italy (annually) of approximately 1 week each, to line up with HQ about projects, activities, etc.
Required Education and Experience
1. Minimum of 8 years high-level accounting/financial experience required.
2. Manufacturing experience is required. Regulated industry experience is preferred.
3. Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP) is required.
4. Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred.
5. Bachelor's degree attained in Accounting or Finance course study required.
6. Minimum of 2-years SAP experience required.
7. Lean, Six-Sigma, and internal management system auditor experience preferred.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
9. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required.
10. Strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
11. Must be able to work independently and with a team.
12. Excellent communication skills and possess ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required.
