The Electronics Engineering Technology program at Greenville Technical College can help you enter the electronics field, where strong dependence on computers and the widespread use of high-tech equipment have created opportunities and growth. In this field, your day will involve both working with engineers in designing or evaluating new products and troubleshooting and repairing electronics equipment. With each day different, the job offers a level of variety that many people enjoy. An Electronic Engineering Technician develops, troubleshoots, and maintains, programs, tests, calibrates documents, designs, constructs and installs electronic systems in a professional manner. The EET program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC). There are 2 full time faculty pus supplemental adjunct instructors. Program options include Electronics Engineering - Associate in Applied Science.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field AND five (5) years of professional and/or industrial work experience.
Preferred qualifications: Doctorate or Master's Degree with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, or a related field OR a Doctorate or Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field. Relevant teaching experience in a student focused institution of higher education environment. Professional certifications/licenses a plus.
