Job Details

Performs venipuncture and collects other specimens for laboratory testing. Label specimen containers accurately, deliver to proper destination in a timely manner and perform order entry duties as required. Must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, developmental and treatment needs of patients ranging in age from neonate-birth to geriatric. Compliance: understands and complies with the Standards of Behavior and department policies, procedures, and regulations. Minimum Requirements Education - HS Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program. Experience - The skill to draw an average of 7 patients per hour within the first 90 days of employment. - Proficient in the use of Laboratory Information System within the first 90 days of employment.
