Special Counsel / Partner - Civil Litigation (Columbia, SC or Remote in SC)

Salary will be based on the candidate's experience and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.

Are you an experienced civil litigator ready to step into a growth role with more work than we can handle? Our team is expanding, and we're seeking a Special Counsel or Partner-level attorney to join our thriving civil litigation practice.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a robust caseload without the need for a portable book of business. While we can accommodate candidates who bring business, our primary motivation is finding a skilled litigator who can hit the ground running and help us serve our clients at the highest level.

Responsibilities:

• Defend civil litigation claims, with an emphasis on construction litigation, products liability, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation
• Manage cases from inception through trial and arbitration
• Provide strategic counsel and strong courtroom advocacy
• Collaborate with colleagues to support an active and expanding litigation docket

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice in South Carolina
• Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation defense experience
• Strong track record of handling cases through trial and/or arbitration
• Excellent writing, advocacy, and client communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice
