Team Lead - Machining (3rd Shift) Starting pay: $27.00/hr + $1.00 shift diff. Location: Piedmont, SC Join JTEKT North America-a global leader in automotive systems, bearing solutions, and high-performance machine tools-as we expand our Piedmont, SC facility in 2025 with over 120 new machines and automation systems. As a CNC Team Lead, you'll be a key technical contributor helping scale and optimize our high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing operation. About the Role JTEKT is looking for a hands-on Team Lead to guide our machining team on 3rd shift. In this role, you'll lead by example, keep production running smoothly, and support your team to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient work every day. What You'll Do Lead and support your team on the shop floor. Keep safety, quality, and production standards on track. Assign schedules and step in to relieve operators when needed. Run team meetings and keep records of daily operations. Help identify training needs and support employee development. Troubleshoot and solve process or product issues. Drive improvements in quality, delivery, safety, and cost. What We're Looking For Prior machining experience and leadership skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and 3rd shift. Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality standards. Comfortable using computers and inspection tools. High school diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements Stand, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs. Work in a manufacturing environment with PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses).
