Job Description
As a Sanitation Associate, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing food processing equipment, floors, walls, and related facilities following established procedures and schedules. You will be tasked with removing and replacing machine components as needed for thorough cleaning and operating sanitation equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers, and custodial tools. Additionally, you will mix and properly use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals in accordance with safety protocols, maintain accurate sanitation records, logs, and documentation, and ensure the proper disposal of waste and other materials to maintain orderly work areas.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, floors, and walls.
Remove and replace machine components for thorough cleaning.
Operate sanitation equipment including sweepers, scrubbers, and pressure washers.
Mix and use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely.
Maintain accurate sanitation records and documentation.
Conduct routine maintenance on sanitation tools.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain orderly work areas.
Essential Skills
Experience in production and sanitation.
Proficiency in industrial cleaning and janitorial duties.
Ability to operate forklifts and general production equipment.
Mechanical aptitude and experience in machine operation.
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in cleanroom environments.
Ability to inspect and pack products.
Familiarity with using a tape measure for precision tasks.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled environment, maintained between 45 to 65 degrees, in an FDA-regulated facility. The team consists of 50-75 individuals. The sanitation schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM. Expect to work 9 hours a day, with potential for up to 12-hour shifts. Various start times are available for different lines, and the facility is based in Reading, PA.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.16 - $20.00/hr.
