Material Handler (Shipping Department)

PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join a fast-paced shipping team in the Fountain Inn area. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the final stages of the order fulfillment process, ensuring every shipment is accurate and prepared for delivery. The right candidate must be committed to physical stamina, accurate data entry, and team communication.

Material Handler Primary Responsibilities include:

• Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and pull orders according to shipping schedules; inspect all shipments to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Shipping Preparation: Package objects securely for transit and prepare necessary documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance.
• Data Management: Perform data entry to store and maintain information regarding inventory and shipments; order materials or supplies as needed.
• Physical Handling: Use hands and arms to position, move, and manipulate materials; perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
• Communication: Provide clear information to supervisors and co-workers via email, telephone, or in person to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Organization: Maintain a clean work area and ensure all items are stored in their proper locations.

Material Handler Desired Skills and Experience include:

• Required Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a consistent warehouse or industrial environment.
• Attention to Detail: Proven ability to catch errors and ensure correct order fulfillment in a fast-paced setting.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge and the ability to perform accurate data entry.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving the whole body.
• Reliability: Must be able to commit to a MondayThursday 10-hour shift and work overtime as needed.
• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with supervisors and subordinates.
