Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and calibrating CNC machines, interpreting technical blueprints, and operating machinery to perform high-precision tasks. Your role will involve ensuring product quality through inspection and performing routine maintenance on machines to maintain optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including loading and aligning workpieces, selecting tools, and adjusting machine settings.

  • Perform setups, changeovers, and tear-downs.

  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and CAD/CAM files to program CNC machines for various operations.

  • Operate CNC machinery to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding with high precision.

  • Inspect finished products using measuring tools and gauges to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure optimal performance.

  • Identify and resolve any issues with machine performance or product quality, including making adjustments or replacing defective parts.

  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operations.

  • Adhere to quality control procedures and standards to ensure high-precision output.

  • Review and interpret measurement reports to ensure parts meet tolerance and quality requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in CNC machining, including the use of mills and lathes.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

  • Experience with machine setups, changeovers, and teardowns.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience with machine operation, programming, and using SolidWorks, CAD/CAM, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of GD&T.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with drill press, shear, grinder, and braiding machines.

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of machining equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
