Schedule: Full-Time - 1st shift, Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5pm typically (On-Call Required but usually only 1 week out of the month)

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Operations Services Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of the interior and exterior of our treatment facilities. This role ensures facilities remain safe, functional, and aesthetically maintained in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity through Opesource Staffing, with placement into a healthcare-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems, including filter changes and identifying operational issues
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on agency vehicles; coordinate servicing with the county garage or other providers
• Complete general facility maintenance including basic plumbing, carpentry, sheetrock repair, painting, and related tasks
• Prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner
• Perform monthly safety inspections and document findings with recommendations
• Assist with monthly safety drills
• Track maintenance expenditures for accounting compliance
• Provide 24/7 on-call emergency maintenance services as required
• Pick up and/or deliver interoffice mail, meals, supplies, and equipment
• Serve on Commission committees as needed
• Support a trauma-informed work environment through core values of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment
• Perform related duties as assigned

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs
• Frequent reaching, bending, grasping, and repetitive motion
• Exposure to adverse environmental conditions
• Strong visual acuity and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of minor automotive maintenance and inspections
• Ability to perform maintenance in a healthcare setting within regulatory compliance
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to establish effective working relationships

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 3-5 years of general facility maintenance experience required
• Associate's degree in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical program preferred
• Healthcare facility maintenance experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with proof of liability insurance
• Reliable transportation required
• Background check and drug screening required
