Flight Line APG Mechanic – F-16 (Level 3) | Secret Clearance Required Program: F-16 Production Flight Line & Delivery Environment: Production Flight Line / Aircraft Maintenance Operations Must be open to working 1st or 2nd shift after training Secret security clearance required (must be in process at time of start) Aircraft flight line experience preferred Position Summary The Production Flight Line APG Mechanic – F-16 (Level 3) supports new production aircraft delivery by performing flight line maintenance, launch and recovery operations, inspections, troubleshooting, and system maintenance on F-16 aircraft. This role is responsible for ensuring aircraft readiness by supporting incoming and outgoing flight operations, follow-on maintenance, and operational checkouts in a fast-paced production flight line environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support incoming and outgoing flight operations, including launch and recovery
Perform and assist with preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight, and periodic inspections
Conduct aircraft ground handling, servicing, and movement operations
Perform engine runs and operational checkouts
Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain electro-mechanical and pneudraulic systems
Perform maintenance on aircraft systems including:
Landing gear
Powerplants
Flight controls
Fueling and defueling systems
Aircraft movement and ground operations
Ensure airworthiness of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, propulsion, landing gear, and flight control systems
Inspect general airframe condition, aircraft furnishings, and crew escape systems
Remove and reinstall panels and associated hardware to access systems requiring maintenance
Document maintenance actions in accordance with quality, safety, and configuration control requirements
Maintain strict FOD control and flight line safety standards Required Qualifications 4–6 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience as an APG Mechanic, Crew Chief, or Aircraft Mechanic
Minimum 1–2 years of flight line maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems operation and maintenance
Ability to read and interpret technical orders, maintenance manuals, and engineering documentation
Secret security clearance required (must be in process at time of start)
Ability to work assigned shifts, including 1st or 2nd shift after training
Ability to meet program requirements including U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. driver's license Preferred Qualifications F-16 aircraft experience
Fighter aircraft experience (F-16, F/A-18, F-22, F-35)
Prior experience supporting production or delivery flight line operations Shift Schedule 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday | 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
(Shift assigned after completion of training) Work Environment Outdoor and hangar flight line settings
Exposure to live aircraft operations, noise, and varying weather conditions
Physical requirements include standing, kneeling, climbing, bending, lifting, and working around operational aircraft
