Job Description:
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist works on desktop, server and mobile GIS applications and workflows

Day to day tasks:
Assist with developing, testing, implementing and maintaining desktop, server and mobile GIS applications and workflows
• Document spatial workflows, procedures, and applications
• Assist with the design, construction, management, and documentation of GIS datasets
• Assist with management of IT infrastructure that supports GIS platform
• Assist with mapping or analysis needs
• Respond to GIS service desk tickets
• Support NY State emergency response efforts "

Requested Qualifications:
"• 1 84 months of experience - Developing, implementing, testing, maintaining and enhancing new and existing geospatial applications from the Esri GIS server platforms that support visualization, analysis, mobile, and reporting solutions
2 24 months of experience - Designing, installing, managing and administer multi-tier ArcGIS Enterprise environments (including ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Hosting and ArcGIS Data Store)
3 24 months experience - developing and supporting service-based geoprocessing interfaces between Esri GIS environments and other applications.
4 60 months experience - managing spatial data and developing workflows and applications from Esri enterprise spatial databases.
5 12 months experience - Linear Referencing practices and concepts as they relate to transportation applications.
