Job Details

We are looking for a Field Systems Engineer (Windows / Endpoint Support) to support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows-based systems across operational environments. This role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working onsite at labs, depots, and onboard equipment locations, with frequent travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform system imaging, Windows OS installation, configuration, and patch management
• Install and upgrade applications; perform drivers and BIOS updates
• Install and configure SQL Server as required
• Troubleshoot tablets, POS devices, and peripheral connectivity issues
• Configure and resolve Wi-Fi and cellular network connectivity problems
• Manage and maintain endpoints using Microsoft Intune and SCCM
• Create, update, and maintain technical procedures and documentation
• Provide hands-on field support at crew bases, depots, labs, and onboard equipment locations
• Ensure systems are updated, secure, and operating efficiently

• High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience building, imaging, and supporting Windows-based systems
• Experience with endpoint deployment and lifecycle management
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and connectivity issues
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to travel frequently to various operational locations
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs

• Experience supporting Point-of-Sale (POS) or operational field equipment
• PowerShell scripting experience (1+ year preferred)
• Familiarity with enterprise device management environments

• Onsite work at Washington, DC (Lab) and Philadelphia (Depot) locations
• Travel to various operational sites as required, including field and onboard environment
