This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 5x8 from 21:00 to 05:30, call and floating required.

Job Description

The Certified Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for handling and processing surgical instruments and sterile supplies in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. The technician must ensure effective and efficient sterilization and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Assemble and organize surgical trays and instrument sets.
• Maintain proper inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Document procedures and maintain compliance with sterilization standards.
• Float to other units as needed based on census concerns.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Certification through iAHCSMM or HSPA is required.
• Experience with various sterilization techniques and equipment.
