Under the general supervision of the Operations Services Manager, the Maintenance Technician will serve as one of the persons responsible for the maintenance and daily operation of both the interior & exterior of Phoenix Center facilities, including but not limited to; HVAC & plumbing, minor carpentry repairs, sheetrock repair/replacement, general building maintenance, painting, vehicle preventative maintenance and other maintenance tasks as assigned. The overall goal of this position is to keep the Phoenix Center facilities safe and in optimum operational condition both physically and aesthetically in an efficient and cost effective manner. It does require on call availability for occasional emergency maintenance and operations related issues.
This position involves activities that require the ability to lift 50 - 70 lbs., reaching, grasping, bending, and repetitive motions. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas with supervisors and co-workers. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels. Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing surroundings and activities. The Maintenance Technician must be able to think and work independently and make sound judgment calls. The worker may be subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
