Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with extensive experience in the Property Casualty (P C) Personal Lines domain, specifically with a strong focus on Guidewire Claims Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that enhance our claims processing capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in personal lines, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Guidewire Claims Center.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Implement best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to P C insurance and Guidewire.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Mandatory Skills

Strong expertise in P C Personal Lines insurance, with a focus on Guidewire Claims Center. Proficient in Java and related technologies. Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter configuration and customization. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Experience with other Guidewire products such as PolicyCenter and BillingCenter. Knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment strategies. Experience with database management systems, particularly SQL. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 - 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on insurance applications. Proven track record of successful project delivery in the P C insurance domain. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
