Buyer Position

We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team in Greer, South Carolina. This long-term contract position involves managing procurement activities and collaborating with international suppliers to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in purchasing flexible packaging materials and experience working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement of flexible packaging film, including coordinating orders with international suppliers.
• Analyze inventory levels and establish minimum and maximum thresholds within the purchasing system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Utilize Epicor software to streamline purchasing processes and maintain accurate records.
• Provide support during transitions by absorbing critical information and ensuring continuity in procurement tasks.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain quality and timely delivery.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities.
• Prepare and present reports detailing purchasing trends, cost analysis, and supplier evaluations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
• Proficiency with Health Information Management systems and Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA).
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems such as Epicor and IBM AS/400.
• Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of international purchasing processes and regulations.
