Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk

The Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk is responsible for supporting the firm's day-to-day financial operations by ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all incoming and outgoing transactions. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of vendor and customer records, processing payments, resolving routine discrepancies, and upholding strong internal controls within the accounting function. Through reliable execution of AP and AR processes, this position contributes to smooth financial operations and supports the firm's overall business performance.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Record auto-debits and wires
  • Retrieve and maintain W-9s for all suppliers and ensure documentation is complete
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues professionally
  • Process weekly and monthly supplier payments
  • Process employee and credit card expense report payments
  • Other duties as assigned
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities
  • Record customer payments and apply them to the correct accounts
  • Process adjustments
  • Research and resolve billing issues and payment discrepancies
  • Create the Daily Cash Collections Report
  • Process customer statements
  • Scan and upload documents into filing system
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
  • Solid problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies
  • Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Customer-service orientation, especially when addressing inquiries or payment concerns
