Position Overview:
OpSource Staffing is seeking a dependable Assembly Operator for a 1st shift direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in a manufacturing or production environment. The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling products, operating equipment, and ensuring production meets quality standards, schedule requirements, and safety regulations. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient manufacturing operations through teamwork and adherence to company procedures.
Major Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Assemble components and finished products according to work instructions and specifications
Operate and monitor production machinery and assembly equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
Ensure production output meets quality standards and daily production targets
Perform routine equipment checks, minor adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
Accurately record production data, downtime, and material usage
Assist with changeovers, setups, and equipment cleaning as required
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Job Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
Prior experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine operation preferred
Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or technical manuals
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Stable work history demonstrating reliability and longevity with previous employers
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, bend, pull, and push without assistance (no brace or cane)
Capable of standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day
Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment
Must consistently wear appropriate PPE, including but not limited to eye and foot protection
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques and company-provided equipment
