Human Resources Manager

Description:

Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations across two facilities. This role is responsible for payroll, benefits, employee relations, and HR compliance, and serves as a key partner to leadership in supporting employees atall levels of the organization.

Essential Duties & Functions

  • Manage full-cycle payroll for multiple locations, ensuring compliance with federal and state wage-and-hour laws
  • Perform payroll-related accounting tasks, including forecasting, budgeting, reconciliations, and general ledger balancing
  • Oversee the security, maintenance, and accuracy of all employee personnel records
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, claims resolution, vendor coordination, invoice approvals, and annual plan reviews
  • Perform monthly accruals and reconcile payroll and benefits expenses
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, including PTO, substance abuse, and leave policies
  • Support the full employment lifecycle, including interviewing, pre-employment screening, onboarding, and terminations
  • Ensure HR policies, programs, and practices comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Lead employee relations efforts, including addressing concerns, managing disciplinary actions, and supporting retention initiatives
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training and educational sessions with benefits providers and external consultants
  • Perform additional HR and administrative duties as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Accounting, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in human resources, payroll, or accounting
  • Strong knowledge of payroll administration, benefits management, and employment compliance
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all organizational levels
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion
