Description
As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician II at Knowles, Cornell Dubilier in Liberty, South Carolina, you will perform skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance on high-precision production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient evening operations serving critical MedTech, Aerospace/Defense, Industrial, and Electrification markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Solaris production equipment including winding machines, presses, coating systems, ovens, and vacuum systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems during 2nd shift operations with minimal supervision.
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.
- Execute and close work orders in the CMMS with accurate documentation of root cause, corrective action, and parts usage.
- Support production changeovers, equipment adjustments, and process stabilization during evening operations.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new Solaris manufacturing equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis and reliability initiatives to reduce repeat failures and improve equipment performance.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety procedures including LOTO, arc flash safety, confined space, and machine guarding.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain 5S standards and organized maintenance work areas.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting capability across motors, drives, sensors, relays, PLC-controlled systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM technical manuals.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, thermal imaging cameras, vibration analyzers, and alignment tools.
- Proficiency using CMMS systems (SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix, or similar).
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles including TPM and 5S.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety standards including LOTO and electrical safety.
- Ability to work independently during 2nd shift operations.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as production demands require.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is $28 - $32 per hour.
