Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $158,000.00 - $187,500.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to lead strategic partnerships that drive new Commercial Payment sales, and act as defined thought-leader for assigned vertical.
Essential Functions
- Accountable for new sales results as mutually agreed upon with the partner and develop relationship networks, across assigned vertical industry
- Work with C-level/Senior Executive decision makers and negotiate pricing/contracts.
- Identify potential new partners and lead end-to-end internal approval and contracting processes - key characteristics include attractive scale and a valuable brand Commerce can leverage to drive accelerated new sales, positioned to provide access and influence to encourage members to select Commerce, and mobilize selling resources and have a committed team who can drive the pipeline
- Work with partner to craft selling strategies including sales enablement efforts and campaigns
- Establish and document mutual goals with partners that drive new business sales and growth and hold both Partner and Commerce teams accountable for measuring and achieving targets
- Maintain strong tiered in relationships with partner decision makers/executives to influence continued growth
- Responsible for partner contract lifecycle, including modifications and exceptions
- Responsible and accountable for mutually agreed upon new sales results
- Lead regular business reviews and act as leader for enhancements to partnerships and present strategic initiatives to enhance performance of the partnership
- Own partnership process by evaluating performance of partnerships, with the ability to exit partnerships as necessary based on performance metrics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required - Strong selling skills with the ability to teach others to articulate Commerce key value propositions and differentiators beyond the contract
- Direct sales experience, ability to understand buyer personas, and ability to manage sales quotas
- Strong solution knowledge and focus within industry verticals/specialization (i.e. Healthcare has extensive background/experience with revenue cycle solutions including receivables automation and patient financing; Construction has experience with integrated payables and ERP integrations)
- Proven track record with innovative ideas, and the ability to influence others
- Ability to develop a quick working knowledge of all complex business to business (B2B) Payment solutions
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 7+ years experience in a consultative selling role required, with an emphasis in Healthcare, Construction, Education, or Non-Profit verticals preferred
- 3+ years consulting, project management, installed client relationships, or equivalent combination of experience required

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $158,000 to $187,500 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
