Job Description:

At Job Duck, we are seeking a compassionate and highly professional Client Intake Receptionist to be the calm, supportive first point of contact for a child-centered family law practice. In this role, you will guide callers through emotionally challenging situations with empathy, patience, and clarity while ensuring their information is captured accurately for the legal team. You will play a meaningful role in helping families feel heard and supported during major life transitions, often serving as the steady voice clients rely on during moments of stress. You will work closely with a small, remote, and deeply connected team that values trust, warmth, and collaboration. This role thrives with someone who is self-directed, organized, emotionally intelligent, and eager to be part of a mission-driven community.

Salary Range: $1,015 to $1,100 USD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Route calls and messages to appropriate team members
  • Support the legal team by ensuring complete and accurate intake data
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client and call records
  • Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative team culture
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Conduct initial client intake conversations with empathy and clarity
  • Accurately document lead summaries and client information


Requirements:

Required Skills

• Excellent English with little to no accent and professional phone presence
• Willingness to use an American-sounding professional name if needed
• Extensive customer service or receptionist background
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to remain composed during emotional calls
• Ability to de-escalate, redirect, and support callers who may be distressed
• Quick responsiveness through phone and internal messaging during work hours
• Strong attention to detail and self-directed task management
• Quiet, professional home office with reliable high-speed internet

• Extensive experience in customer service or receptionist roles 1-2 years
• Excellent verbal and written English with correct grammar and minimal to no accent
• Ability to communicate with compassion and professionalism in emotionally sensitive situations.
• High level of responsiveness and availability during scheduled work hours
• Must have an American-sounding name or be willing to use one professionally

Additional Details

Location: Remote support for Colorado
Time Zone: Mountain Standard Time MST
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST
Employment Type: Full-time
