The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific project which have a beginning, an end and specified deliverables.
Essential Functions:
The Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
Create a detailed plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
Review the project schedule with senior management, staff and end customers as appropriate that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
Execute the project according to the project plan
Develop forms and records to document project activities
Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
Establish a communication schedule to update all appropriate personnel on the progress of the project
Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage the Quality Management System requirements in accordance with customer specifications.
Build a manufacturing team that is cross-training, and continuously growth to support Sales of at least 24 million dollars.
Justified and implement new processes and equipment to improve the overall cost of production.
Ensure that both equipment and facilities are maintained
Qualifications Guidelines
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: 5-10 years manufacturing leadership experience
Desired: BS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires knowledge and understanding of welding, machining, paint, fabrication, and assembly processes. Requires knowledge of workplace safety. Required knowledge of lean manufacturing, and 5 S's. Must have a good understand of Microsoft Office applications experience with one or more ERP systems (ideally Epicor E9).
Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is an Office classification and employees work in an office environment with numerous hours sitting and working using computer and telephone. Will routinely work in factory environment with exposure to noise and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
