Summary

As a Web Production Consultant, you will support, develop, test, maintain the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) public web site and perform related projects as assigned by the AHW Communications Director. Consult and advise AHW leadership regarding public web site; responsible for maintaining web standards that meet MCW/AHW policies and regulations This position combines editorial and technical skills to provide support in web production using various software tools.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate content management systems in alignment with AHW's mission and business goals.
  • Contribute to the planning, design and layout of AHW website by working with communications team members and web authors, and other web management personnel.
  • Create web designs using the content management system that best facilitate content presentation and database management of web content.
  • Apply best-practice search engine optimization and advertising strategies to increase the visibility of the AHW website to target audiences.
  • Provide and interpret web analytics for AHW in the pursuit of their mission and business goals.
  • Coordinate digital display boards and the integration of web publishing system content.
  • Participate with other web staff and vendors in the implementation of web-based applications.
  • Assist in the integration of AHW data and communications resources to streamline processes, ensure data accuracy, and maximize communications outcomes.
  • Responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices and web standards that align with MCW policies and regulations.
  • Adapt to changing technologies, learn and apply new methods for achieving mission and business goals of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
  • Excellent computer skills, including above average familiarity with current versions of web-related software is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong ability to apply new training and experience toward mastery of evolving job requirements.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design and photo editing software.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, SQL, ASP, Windows and Apple OS.
  • Ability to demonstrate responsibility and dependability when completing assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Ability to build and foster working relationships within the institution and associated business units and staff.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and clearly orally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze information and solve problems.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize projects impacting the work of others.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years of web production and/or publication experience required

Preferred Experience: Enterprise content management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, and digital signage software

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
