What You Will Do

The Maintenance Utility Team Member is a vital entry-level position in our Maintenance team, focused on ensuring that equipment is fully operational. This role requires a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively. You will receive comprehensive training in safety protocols and foundational skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.

Your responsibilities will include simple preventive maintenance tasks, such as replacing forklift batteries and light bulbs. As you gain experience, you'll develop a deeper understanding of our building structures and equipment, progressing to more complex maintenance tasks with the guidance of experienced Maintenance Mechanics.

Travel Requirements: No overnight travel is required for this role.

What We're Looking For

  • Flexibility to work a set schedule that may change based on facility needs.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to perform duties in a distribution/warehouse environment, handling typical physical demands of this setting.
  • Capability to lift at least 25 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED equivalent, or technical school graduate.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a history of compliance with safety standards.
  • Able to see objects and distinguish colors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience with specialized tools (welders, torches, cranes, etc.).
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience operating maintenance and operations vehicles and equipment.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
