Summary

KEMET Electronics Corporation is seeking an Electronic Maintenance Technician in the Simpsonville, SC location. The Electronic Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and mechanical systems within our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of both electronic and mechanical principles to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment.

This opening is on the weekend shift. This shift works two 12-hour shifts over the weekend as well as one 8-hour weekday shift. Training will be on the 1st shift (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electronic and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnoses and repair faults in electronic circuits, control systems, and mechanical components
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and perform necessary repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment status
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities
  • Provide technical support and training to other maintenance personnel as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Mechatronics or Electronic Engineering Technology
  • Two or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with industrial troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical experience and proficiency
  • Solid working knowledge of computer and PLC based equipment/systems
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, interpret wiring diagrams, follow test procedures
  • Knowledge of Industrial Network systems and MES systems a plus.
  • Proficient with PLC and HMI programming software, as well as Microsoft Office Tools
  • Ability to work with teams and effectively document and communicate results
