Position Overview

The Mechanical Construction Project Manager will oversee all aspects of mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout. The successful candidate will manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and client relationships while maintaining high standards of execution across diverse project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction planning through final closeout
  • Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets and schedules
  • Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor agreements
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and field teams
  • Ensure alignment of drawings, specifications, and scope requirements
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Monitor field productivity, quality control, and safety compliance
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, local codes, and company standards
  • Prepare and present financial reports, schedule updates, and progress reports to stakeholders
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in various Southeast locations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent field experience)
  • 5+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projects
  • Proven experience in Commercial, Healthcare, and/or Manufacturing sectors
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple geographic locations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Southeast U.S.
