Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Cash Register and Stock Associate and contribute to enhancing the customer shopping experience at ALDI. You will play a vital role by operating registers, stocking shelves, maintaining store cleanliness, and providing top-notch service to our customers. Position Type: Part-Time

Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week

Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour

Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 4 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader.

- Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data in your area of responsibility.

- Other duties as assigned.

Cash Register Responsibilities:

- Process customer purchases, maintain a clean environment, stock shelves, and merchandise displays.

- Assist customers for an exceptional shopping experience.

- Provide management with feedback regarding products, inventory losses, and general issues.

- Participate in inventory counts according to guidelines and ensure inventory accuracy.

- Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stock Responsibilities:

- Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness for customers.

- Follow merchandising planograms to create attractive displays.

- Organize new inventory and manage empty boxes efficiently.

- Operate machinery safely and adhere to all safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move about the store.

- Ability to stock merchandise from receiving areas to shelves; able to lift products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.

Qualifications:

- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.

- Perform cleaning duties to company standards.

- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Work independently and as part of a team.

- Time management skills.

- Knowledge of company products and services.

- Cashiers must operate registers efficiently and accurately.

- Compliance with local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

- Stockers must have morning availability starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous retail experience is preferred.

- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
