Hiring for Maintenance Technicians in Greer, SC pays up to $30/hr.

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of machinery. You will work on bearings, conveyors, sprockets, and pneumatics while effectively completing preventive and proactive maintenance to prevent breakdowns. You will utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages and collaborate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on machinery.

• Troubleshoot bearings, conveyors, sprockets, and pneumatics.

• Work with electricity up to 480v.

• Complete preventive and proactive maintenance per schedule.

• Utilize root-cause analysis skills for breakdown investigations.

• Respond promptly when a production line stops and ensure mechanical help is available.

• Prioritize work to minimize manufacturing downtime.

• Complete all paperwork and documentation in the CMMS.

• Repair or maintain industrial production or processing machinery.

• Observe and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions using testing devices.

• Operate newly repaired machinery to verify repairs.

• Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose problems.

• Inspect machines for operational and safety performance standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years experience in industrial maintenance.

• Ability to troubleshoot effectively.

• Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Experience with 3 Phase motor controls and low voltage controls.

• Knowledge of motor drives, contactors, and Allen Bradley drives.

• Experience working with 480V systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must pass the Ramsey Mechanical (Electrical) Skills and Aptitude Assessment.

• Willingness to work flexible hours.

• Experience with PLC, blueprint, schematic, pumps, HVAC, welding, and PLC control.

Work Environment

The role requires standing, walking, kneeling, and bending for approximately 85% of the day, with computer and administrative work taking up the remaining 15%. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. The facility is somewhat climate-controlled, but it can get hotter in the summer and colder in the winter.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
