This is a role with a broad remit, where your expertise with distribute systems and compute scale will go hand in hand with your passion for efficient databases and deep love of crafting high-performance server-side applications, As our server engineer, you will have meaningful impact on our games ability to bring world-leading experiences to our players./ph2Who Will Be A Great Fit:/h2ulliProven experience writing server backend code/liliProficient in C++ and understanding of object-oriented programming/liliProficient in Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby, with an emphasis on Python/liliUnderstanding of distributed and scalable systems/liliExperience with multithreaded programming/liliBSCS or equivalent experience./liliExperience writing code for security and virtual currency transactions a plus/liliExperience optimizing database connections and queries a plus/liliExperience with online gaming architecture a plus/liliKnowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or other)/liliVideogame console development experience is quite helpful/liliLove for video games (not just ours!)/li/ulpThe pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $180,000 - $250,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
