Adjunct Instructor, Transitional Mathematics

Description:

Teach Introductory College Mathematics (MAT 100), Elementary Algebra (MAT 101 or MAT 152) or Elementary Algebra II (MAT 102 or MAT 153) courses to a diverse student body, including Early College students. Teaching varying schedules at various locations and formats. The adjunct instructor will follow the established syllabus, using multiple instructional methods that emphasize student success and retention, assessing learning, utilizing the colleges learning management system for grading and various instructional purposes, and participating in the departments continuous improvement process. Minimum and Additional Requirements Baccalaureate degree in mathematics, secondary mathematics education, statistics, or a related baccalaureate degree in engineering, computer science, natural sciences, natural sciences education, or other approved area (with substantial mathematics coursework) and demonstrated competence in the teaching discipline.
