Quality Assurance Coordinator - Regulatory Compliance Unit

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Monitors and evaluates Post Placement and Refund Timing findings to ensure compliance with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) regulations as it relates to Lender Placed Insurance. Documents quality scores, distributes reporting to Client and provides feedback to management. Reviews Regulatory Compliance Unit (RCU) completed report and trends errors/opportunities identified and escalates to internal Assurant departments to reduce risk of CFPB fails.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Track, Review, and Trend Post Placement, Refund Timing, and Excessive Disbursements
  • Attend calibration sessions as required.
  • Partner with RCU Teams and Teams outside of RCU to determine remediation plans.
  • Support and assist with on-going quality initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments and Managers.
  • Export, Track, and Trend Missed Opportunities identified by RCU on control reports.
  • Distribute weekly trending internally to be used for coaching.
  • Achieve excellent Time Management skills (Demonstrate)
  • Proficient in giving one-on-one feedback to the team members. (Demonstrate)
  • May deviate from standard procedures to perform assigned tasks.
  • Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of basic problems and issues.
  • Ensures cooperation and coordination with other departments in the company.
  • May serve as a representative for the department.
  • May assist manager in a broad range of assignments.
  • Assist with larger assignments or serves as a subject matter expert for co-workers. (Facilitates and/or leads)
  • May serve as a point of contact for Assurant partners.
  • May assist in the training of new RCU Team Members
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working for Assurant.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail and project oriented.
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success when coaching team members.
  • Proficiency with all QA systems and tools
  • Knowledge of multiple campaigns
EDUCATION:
  • High School diploma
EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferred 3-4 years of related experience in the function or similar activity outside the organization.
  • Preferred knowledgeable in Regulatory Compliance Unit control reports or Lender Placed Insurance, or similar positions.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Pay Range:
$20.96 - $34.59

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
